Attached is a very interesting article i just found about new alternatives for disposing of sewage waste. Filtering it through algae not only cleans the waste water, but it also feeds the algae which can be then turned into biofuels. Scientists are experimenting with growing algae in what are essentially giant plastic bags in the ocean, and then injecting waste water to be filtered by the algae and returned to the sea. Its really quite fascinating what potential uses this process could have.
