I don’t know of any specific plans to actively attempt to boost populations which have suffered lately from colony collapse syndrome (CCS). Rather, we’re still trying to find effective ways to deal with CCS. Once we do, the bees should be able to recover on their own, albeit not immediately. Bees are already heavily cultivated for economic purposes — it’s not unreasonable to think we might attempt to leverage domestic-rearing methods to speed the recovery. But, in the end, it’s going to be a matter of finding a way to help them avoid collapse and then recover on their own.
