Small countries are affected by climate change in the same ways that larger countries are, but to a greater extent. Since smaller countries usually have less resources to begin with and are generally poorer, the percentage of resources lost because of it can be detrimental to the society. Poverty increases along with hunger because the climate change hurts agriculture. In small countries this impact can be magnified because there is fewer area for agriculture and the areas hit are especially potent. The effects are the same for larger countries, but the magnification is not as great.
