How are skyscrapers using technology to use less energy lighting all of their rooms?

    Some methods include:
-Using fluorescent lights instead of incandescent lights. Fluorescent light use less electricity because they don’t heat up as much, thus more energy is converted to light.
-Light tubes, which act like a cross between a fier optic cable and a skylight. Sunlight shines into a small opening on the roof, is reflected down a tube lined with mirrors, and shines out into the desired room.
-Fiber optic concrete. By filling ordinary concrete with optical fiber cables, light is able to pass through it. This allows a wall to have the structural strength of concrete while still admitting light, without windows.
