How are music tours trying to use less energy than the past?

    These are examples more related to making up for energy use than reducing it, but I hope you find them interesting and helpful anyway.

    The Dave Matthews Band offset all of the carbon emissions from their tour in 2003 by building wind turbines, planting trees, etc. 

    ATC has a list of things tours can do to reduce their energy use and their impact on the environment. Some suggestions include pushing fans to carpool, flying as little as possible (since it is the mode of transportation that has the biggest impact on the environment), choosing venues easily accessible through public transit, using recyclable cups and eating materials at concessions…
