This conversion is taking place through a partnership between UK communications agency Wieden Kennedy London and solar development charity Solar-Aid. It’s called the Off-On Program, and it works by encouraging energy saving practices in Wieden Kennedy offices through reminders and statistical screensavers, and then sending the money saved to fund solar panel development in Nairobi, Kenya. The screen savers will tell participants and funders of the program just how much money they are donating through energy conservation efforts involving their computers and lights.
