How are crystals formed in nature?

Crystals are usually formed when molten rock gradually cools. These molten rocks can come from the lava that volcanoes spew out. If the molten rock are given enough time to cool, large crystals may form. “Crystals can also form when water evaporates. For example, salt crystals (sodium chloride) form when salt water evaporates.”
