How are carbon offset programs in airports doing?

San Francisco International was the first airport to install kiosks for travelers to purchase carbon offsets.  The travelers could go to a kiosk, enter their final destination and calculate the dollar amount of the offset required.  These kiosks are fairly new, and there are no news stories reporting on their success, but the kiosks in the SFO terminals expect to offset about 660,000 pounds of greenhouse gasses in the first year of operation which will end in September of this year.
