Our health can be negatively effected because of poor air quality. People’s homes can be damaged due to intensified weather patterns and storms. Land could even be lost due to rising sea levels. There was an article in the Nature Conservancy about how if the sea level rose 7 inches (the most conservative estimate—it will more than likely rise by several feet) in the next 100 years, then 57000 acres of land in the Florida Keys would be gone—it would be underwater! Also our wildlife populations are being effected due to our encroaching lifestyles, and they would be effected severely too if the environment was harmed to the point where normal plants that support wildlife could no longer reproduce normally and in abundance.
