How is architecture changing with technology?

More and more engineers and building companies are trying to incorporate the latest eco-friendly technology, such as solar panels, wind turbines, water reclamation and recycling, and geothermal heating.  This naturally has been driving the cost of such projects up, and creating much more modern looking bulidings.  Buildings are becoming more integrated as part of the environment, with significantly smaller environmental impacts.

As cafils said, technology, particularly in the green area, is rapidly changing with technology. New buildings have certain environmental standards to meet and because of this, design must shift as well. Many architects seem to be embracing the new environmental standards by making buildings that are both beautiful and eco-friendly. I think one example of how new technology is driving architecture and design is with the Hearst Tower in NYC which is stunning both inside and out and has many environmental considerations in its design.
