Climate change affects the environment. Specific ecosystems exists in specific locations because the climate of a certain region dictates the type of ecosystem. All aspects of the ecosystem react to each other, including species existence and diversity. Therefore if climate changes in certain regions, so will the harmony of a ecosystem, and therefore species decline due to factors such as not being able to adapt to rapidly changing conditions. Such conditions can be changes in niches, which lead to other species not surviving. Each species is part of the food web, and if one species declines as a food source so will the species that consume that animal in decline.
