Is the horny toad on the endangered species list?

    The horny toad is “state” protected, but is not federally protected. This means that within certain states it is considered to be endangered, however it is not threatened throughout it’s entire range.

    No, but it may soon be. The “horny toad” has been “off and on” as an endangered species since 1993. A May 2009 Circuit Court verdict, however, ordered the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to reconsider the toad – actually, a lizard – for endangered species list.
