Cement is among the top environmentally hazardous materials in the world, adding more carbon dioxide to the atmosphere. Surprisingly, the oil industry provides an alternative called C-fix. Referred to as carbon concrete, it is a ‘thermoplastic’, and has been successfully used in two busiest roads of Netherlands. It replaces 90% of concrete and asphalt applications – the toxic elements of the atmosphere. Using just a ton of carbon concrete can save three-and-a-half tons of carbon dioxide.
