Have we made coal plants any cleaner in the last 50 years?

    Yes, carbon and other harmful emissions are now sequestered from the coal plant exhaust and are now being pumped deep underground in some cases to be stored in limestone, encased with impermeable shale. This is only one step being taken to reduce emissions from coal power plants.
