A report was recently issued by World Bank, stating that the world’s developing countries are the ones which suffer the most from climate change, despite the fact that industrialized nations contribute two-thirds of the gaseous emissions believed to be causing global warming. These developing countries are plagued with extreme droughts, floods, and other natural disasters. The World Bank’s 2010 Development Report finds that the climate change issue in such countries diverts development funds away from their usual uses, such as road-building, irrigation and infrastructure improvement. Now these funds are being used to help these countries deal with the destructive effects of climate change.
