Yes, humans are considered primtates. The taxonomy of primates is quite complicated, and there are more species found in the tropical rainforest frequently. Humans definitely are primates, though.
Absolutely. Humans are classified along with the great apes in the order Primates of the class Mammalia. Of the homonidae family members that are still living today, we are currently considered most closely related to chimpanzees and bonobos. Next come gorillas, and then orang utans. Humans are classified under the order primates, and more specifically under the the suborder haplorrhini, the superfamily Hominoidea, and the family hominidae. Among the hominidae family there are humans, gorillas, chimpanzees, and orangutans.
