There haven’t been any wars started because of pollution. But there have been some seriously vicious legal battles over pollution. The longest civil jury trial in U.S. history involved a lawsuit against Monsanto (a producer of pesticides and other chemicals) for a spillage of chemicals that caused health problems in a near community.
While a legal battle isn’t quite as extreme as military action, there have been a lot of wrongs set right through these types of procedures. Dumping toxic waste and careless pollution of air is fundamentally wrong, but the companies that were/are guilty traditionally have thrown enough money at politics to get away with it or prolong being found guilty.
