High fructose corn syrup have been linked to pancreatic tumor cells. A study from Reuters found that the fructose has been metabolizing cancer cells to help them increase proliferation. Hospitals right now are trying to get rid of dietary fructose medication consumption for their patients because it can link to cancer. If you were to take out high fructose it may disrupt the cancer growth.

Dr. Anthony Heaney of UCLA’s Jonsson Cancer Center states that, “tumor cells thrive on sugar but they use fructose to proliferate.”

Serveral states, including New York and California have decided to weigh tax on soft drinks to help with the cost of obesity, heart disease, diabetes and cancer.
