In my opinion, I do not think we can see many positive changes in any sort of tangible sense–however, I do think that the oil spill has pushed more of the general public (specifically in America) to be very conscious of the environment. At the same time, one might also recognize that since the spill, public awareness for our dependence on fossil fuels has grown tremendously. So in terms of positive environmental/physical changes; well, there’s still a blanket of oil covering part of the Gulf. However, the impact that the oil spill has had on the general public in recent years is, at least in my mind, a very positive change.
