Have scientists been able to recreate the effect of global warming in a lab to do research?

It is impossible to perfectly recreate the effects of global warming in a laboratory, the world climate systems are far to complex to ever model or mimic accurately. There have been tests on the greenhouse effect associated with CO2 and other greenhouse gases, but that is nothing like the herculean task of reproducing global warming. It is far easier to just look at the world we live in, since our Earth is currently acting as an experiment in global warming.
