Actually, no. Large SUV sales have increased by 19%, according to a July 31, 2010 article. This is attributed to two main factors: Stable $2.75/gallon gas prices, making fuel fillups more affordable, and imminent regulations making these vehicles more expensive in the near future (to control demand, thereby making the U.S. more likely to comply with the Corporate Average Fuel Economy requirements). People are apparently buying them up before they become more expensive or rare on the American streets.
