Have people been evacuated around the fukushima plant?

After the March 11, 2011 earthquake and tsunami, Japan created a 20 kilometer (12 mile) evacuation zone around the crippled plant, and made it illegal for anyone to enter it. A 10 kilometer zone was also created shortly after, asserting people to either stay indoors or leave. In June 2011, 113 households were told to leave, and in July 2011, Japan recommended that 59 more households should evacuate, as there were sporadic radiation “hot spots” around the area.
