In the past 50 years there have been a few changes to newspapers. Comics for adults did not come around until the 1960s. There weren’t color photos in newspapers until 1986. Also in the 1980s, computers started to be used to make newspapers production less labor-intensive. Overall, newspapers are very similar to what we had 50 years ago.
Newspapers have changed dramatically in the past 50 years. One of the most recent trends, and perhaps most influential as well, is the movement from print to the internet. As newspapers continue to lose their funding from advertisers, they are forced to publish their content online, and usually for free. The newspaper industry has taken a huge blow, and will hopefully be able to find a way to cope with the changes.
