Have GPS units help people conserve gas since they may not get lost as much?

Well, GPS systems certainly help those who tend to get lost in their own cities or while out of town on a road trip; thus, it would follow that less overall driving and fewer unnecessary stops makes for more efficient gas mileage and conservation. Over the past several years, GPS navigation systems have become increasingly user-friendly, and accurate. What’s best is that having a talking GPS system in your car is easier (and less of a headache) than having a friend or relative in the passenger seat give directions from behind a huge upside-down map.
