Have the errors in some of the reports from the IPCC hurt their reputation?

Unfortunately, yes. Especially with the scandal over the leaked emails that implied that they were exaggerating data, the IPCC’s reputation has definitely been tarnished by errors and scandal. Just doing a simple google search for “IPCC errors” yields tons of sites where people are constantly bashing the IPCC. It’s really a shame, because the IPCC is not the only authority on climate change, and since people have accepted them in that role, now that they are called into question, so is the entire phenomenon of human-induced climate change.
