Has the terrible housing market been good or bad for the environment? We are definitely building less than we were a few years ago.

    I tend to agree with you here- we are most definitely building less so there is less demand for home-buying materials such as wood and tile, both things that could potentially harm the environment. Silly as it may sound, buying and selling a home requires a lot of paperwork, and since there is less of both going on, this means that we are saving on space in our recycling centers.
