Yes, the popularity of Greyhound Buses have decreased, at least in Canada, where the decline of passengers has forced the private company to cut back on bus service to several locations in British Columbia.
Greyhound is still quite popular in the Northeast, but it now has many new competitors. Companies like MegaBus and Bolt Bus have taken some of Greyhound’s business. There is also a very popular Chinatown bus company that runs buses to and from Boston, as well as a few other locations. So Greyhound has had to change a lot of prices and offer more features (like on-bus wi-fi) to keep up.
