Obama unveiled $2.3 billion in tax credits for the clean energy sector back in January, in the hope of creating 17,000 jobs. In addition, private firms invested $5.4 billion and expect to create 41,000 jobs. The money was awarded to 183 projects in 43 states. About a third of these projects should be done by this year. Most of the projects revovle around installing renewable energy sources such as solar panels and wind turbines, which should hopefully double the amount of renewable energy used by the US over the next three years. With any luck, this should generate jobs, money, and greener energy all at the same time.
