Has the increase of carbon given plants more to eat?

It is thought that an increase in CO2 will increase plant production by allowing for more photosynthesis to occur, but the extent to which this will happen is unknown. It is also very questionable what the effects of climate change (changing temperatures and precipitation patterns) will have on plant growth rates, let alone the combination of all these effects with the increased CO2 concentrations.
