Global warming has resulted because of the influx of CO2 into the carbon cycle, so it is not global warming changing the carbon cycle, but more so the carbon cycle changing global warming. According to Richard Primack in his book “Essentials of Conservation Biology”, because of humans burning of fossil fuels, the carbon cycle has not been able to keep up and CO2 levels are climbing. Bill McKibbon has suggested in his book “Eaarth” that because of the greenhouse effect, many forrests will no longer be able to survive, which will decrease carbon sequestration and result in even higher CO2 levels in the atmosphere.
