The Electric-auto maker Fisker Automotive was founded and is headed by Danish auto designer Henrik Fisker. It has yet to start selling its first car, the $89,900 Karma sedan, however says it’s raised $115.3 million in private capital to develop high-end electric cars, bringing it closer to accessing a government loan it scored last year. The Irvine, Calif., company is inching closer to the minimum it will need to reach for its $528.7 million in government money, a sum that stunned observers when it was granted last year. Fisker plans to use the government dough to build its second model — a moderately priced sedan code-named Project NINA — at a closed General Motors factory in Delaware.
