At least in the last 650,000 years, no, the carbon dioxide levels have never been higher then they currently are. If you follow the link below you can find a diagram of Carbon Dioxide Variations over time – our 380 ppm (parts per million) is extremely high. A little over 300,000 years ago there was a peak at about 300 ppm, but it doesn’t seem to go much higher. And scientists think the current levels could go as high as 450-550 by 2050.
