Yes, climate change has been integral part of human history. If it wasn’t for climate change we would not have advanced into what we are today. The change from the Pleistocene (Ice Age) to the Holocene (current warm age) allowed for the agricultural revolution about 10000 years ago. This allowed for humans to stop hunting and gathering and instead stay in one place, which in turn allowed societies to evolve. Climate change was fundamental for humans in our development of complex societies. This does not mean the current change, which we are affecting is good. The transition from the Pleistocene and the Holocene occurred over several cooling and warming periods that took over 3000 years. We should be concerned about how fast we are changing the climate; the scale of 50 to 100 years compared to 3000 is a huge difference.
