has algae biofuel passed corn yet for most produced biofuel?

Ethanol is the most commonly produced biofuel in the world. Brazil and the US are two of the biggest biofuel producers. Ethanol can be made from a variety of different substances, but corn remains the most popular. Algae biofuel is derived from algae, and extracts the carbon dioxide that the algae absorbs during photosynthesis. Algae biofuel still requires expensive technology so it has not become as widely used as corn yet.
