Has air quality in Los Angeles improved over the past few years?

It has. Ten years ago ozone weight in the air was at 189.5 parts per million, whereas today it’s down to 138.8 parts per million.  Levels of other toxic chemicals have gone down too.  Unfortunately, LA’s air quality is still among the worst in the world.

The Air Resources Board of California’s EPA has made many diesel regulations, introduced green and clean energy jobs, took on the Renewable Energy Standard using energy from clean burning fuels as well as many other feats. As Sarahtonin mentioned the parts per million has decreased significantly but still has a ways to go.
