Has Agenda 21 (for sustainable development) made a lot of progress?

Agenda 21 has begun the effort to promote environmental sustainability. It has taken root in several regions such as New Zealand. However, there is no such thing as standard template for environmental sustainability. Each nation has to figure out how to implement these collective world goals in their individual ways. There is still a long way to go in planning sustainable developments that will also be economically advantageous.

In various countries including the United states there has been a great deal of sustainable education such as family planning, forestry preservation, biodegradable technology etc. Progress in terms of reaching the public and informing them about how to sustain the human species on earth has been quite successful.
