Is a Harley worse for the environment than a street bike?

In terms of MPG it really depends on the make and model of the motorcycle. A brief look at the fuel economy guide linked to below shows that, on average, Harley’s have decent fuel economy – about 45 mpg city and 59 mpg highway. Some Kawasaki’s are in the 45 city/ 55 highway mpg range and some Hondas are at the 73/86 range. It looks mostly like it depends largely on the size and type of engine you have on the bike rather than the brand of bike itself.
