Typically, hand copying is more environmentally friendly. However, there are a few variables that can change the friendliness, especially the type of ink used in hand copying. However, given the constituents of most toners, and the waste toner as well, it’s hard to beat hand copying when it comes to eco-friendliness. Also, a xerographic copier provides a convenience that tends to result in having excess copies made that are not generally needed.
