Bengal tigers normally reside in a territory of about 30 square miles. The primary incentives for a tiger to inhabit a specific area is food, water and lack of competition (other tigers). Bengal tigers inhabit lowland forests and rainforests in Southeast Asia. Although tigers are very adaptable. A bengal tiger would struggle to live in the same climate as a siberian tiger, which has a heavier coat. Bengal tigers have been known to inhabit the foothills of the Himalayas, which get very cold.
