Is ground beef a bad meat for the environment?

Ground beef itself isn’t necessarily bad for the environment, but the production of the beef is very detrimental.  Cows are packed into extremely crowded living areas where they are pumped with antibiotics to fight off infections that result from this kind of living situation. They are also fed corn, something that their stomachs are not made to digest.  Their waste is full of antibiotics, and high levels of nitrogen.  If it rains, the enormous amount of waste from these production plants can runoff into rivers streams etc., or seep into the soil and infiltrate the groundwater.  Factory farming is huge source of pollution.
