Hopefully an increase in green jobs will mean a more lucrative and competitive green industry. As their services become more in demand, workers performing green jobs may find their wages increasing.
The pay rate of green jobs will follow the same supply/demand laws as every other job. If the demand for the skills associated with Green Jobs rises faster than they can be supplied, then the wage will increase. Generally, the amount of training required for a job gives a good indication of how much that job will eventually pay. Doctors get paid more than nurses, for example. If Green Job training is not long, intense or restricted to a select few (like medical school admission is), I would not expect Green Jobs to pay much more than other jobs.
