Is the gray bay cat extinct?

    The bay cat goes through a gray phase, but it is rare to see one at that age. They were believed to be extinct until a camera trap in Borneo spotted one just last year. The cat in the picture is in its red fur phase, but if there are more of them out there, some of them are bound to be gray.

    It is not extinct; all of them are found only in Borneo, and although there are nature reserves in the works, the three that are already built are threatened by logging and human settlement.
