Is graffiti harmful to the environment?

The graffiti itself won’t have much of an effect for the environment, but most of the people creating it are using spray paint, which definitely has some nasty stuff in it. In the past, the infamous CFCs were used as a propellant for the paint, but they’re no longer legal in the United States. Still, all the solvent and the substances that color the paint tend to evaporate out into the air, and they’re not really things you want to be breathing in or just leaving to float around.
