Perhaps in the short-term going barefoot would be eco-freindly if you have really tough, calloused feet and live in a mild climate. But developing foot problems, which may require medical procedures, as well asperiods of unproductivity in the person’s life, I think, would lead to going barefoot being not as eco-friendly as buying a pair of good, durable, eco-friendly shoes.
