Is global warming making it harder for people to climb Everest?

In a way, it is because the elevation of Mount Everest has been steadily decreasing due to global warming. The base camp at Everest has apparently slid to 5280 meters and is continuing to slide every year. There is also a huge danger of melting glaciers which can destroy the villages near Everest and make the mountain even more impossible to climb.
