“Although some fresh springs and glacier runoff may be clean enough to drink, rivers can contain bacteria that can make you very sick.” In like manner, glacier runoff may contain certain chemicals from various pollutants that may be dangerous to human health. Perhaps in small amounts for dire occasions, drinking glacier runoff won’t do much harm. But just take into consideration the amount of pollution let out into the atmosphere each day that somehow makes its way into our water cycles. Whether we like it or not, some pollutants get into oir water systems, however pure they may seem.
