Humans can endanger the hydrosphere in several different ways. In order to eliminate or reduce these hazardous activities, awareness of the problem must first be brought to attention. According to Bitannica.com we can disrupt the hydrolic cycle by “the discharge of toxic chemicals, radioactive substances, and other industrial wastes and by the seepage of mineral fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides into surface and subsurface aquatic systems.” Additionally “discharge of petroleum, improper sewage disposal, and thermal pollution” also lead to a decrease in the quality of the hydrosphere.
