Is Gatorade bad for the environment?

Gatorade is owned by Pepsi, but it has fewer bad ingredients than most sodas. Pepsi has made an effort to green its practices, which means some bottles are made next door to the gatorade plants, which reduces transportation and therefore carbon emissions. Pepsi also offsets their energy usage. However, syrup, yellow 5, and sucrose are all ingredients in Gatorade which require manufacturing and are harmful to people. Their bottles are also made exceptionally thick, which is something they could improve.
