Please correct me if I’m wrong with this assumption, but I believe you’re referring to Florida Power and Light.
If this is the case FP&L is not a renewable energy company so to speak, but rather a utilities company; and while it does provide those under its jurisdiction a fraction of renewable energy (approx. 1%) it is not in the business of producing renewable energy.
I personally would classify a renewable energy company as one seeking to expand the generation of energy by renewable means.
