Is fiberglass bad for the environment?

  1. 0 Votes

One study actually showed that wood doors reinforced with fiberglass are more environmentally friendly than doors solely made of wood. The production process of these reinforced doors produced less greenhouse emissions, and used less timber. While fiberglass doesn’t cause much harm to the environment itself, the problem is fiberglass getting into the air and effecting humans negatively. Fiberglass dust may irritate the skin, eyes, nose and throat, causing itching, coughing, or wheezing.
